Description
The Egyptian honeybee (Apis mellifera lamarckii – Named after Jean-Baptiste Lamarck) plays an important role in the production of this special honey. The bees that produce this honey does not collect propolis. These bees are regarded as a ‘primary race,’ from which all yellow honeybee races of Africa, the Orient and also A. m. ligustica (the Italian honeybee) are derived from. Interesting fact.
